Hey everyone Here's what's new:
- Animation. There's now a proper timeline with tracks, keys and scrubbing, plus an easing curve editor. You also get effects like shake, zoom and flash, parallax backgrounds and 2D particles. Characters can have animated expressions too.
- 2D skeletal animation, fully built in. You can create bones, generate a mesh from your character image, paint the weights and animate it all in the editor. No Spine, no Live2D, no extra licence to pay.
EXPERIMENTAL
- 3D scenes. You can import glTF models and set up PBR materials, lights, shadows, a skybox and fog. It all happens in a real 3D scene editor with gizmos. You can put a 3D scene behind your 2D characters and dialogue, and it still runs in the browser.
EXPERIMENTAL
- Custom UI screens. There's a visual editor for menus, HUDs and screens, with themes, styles and splash screens.
- Text view. You can now also edit your story as plain text if you prefer typing to clicking.
- Android export (APK/AAB), on top of Windows, Linux and the Web.
EXPERIMENTAL
- Localization tools. Import and export PO/CSV, catch outdated translations, and use proper CJK and right-to-left text.
- Accessibility. Text size, high contrast, reduced motion, gamepad support and screen reader support.
- Smaller stuff. There's a gallery and scene replay, project templates, a built-in manual (EN/FR), a profiler (F3 in game), a smaller web build and a ton of bug fixes.
None of this is public yet. It's all in testing right now. Some parts are still rough around the edges and I'd really rather have a few people break it before I push it to everyone.
